Redwood is a small, largely bushland suburb on the eastern escarpment, dominated by Redwood Park with a limited number of residential holdings on elevated, often generous and irregular blocks. The conditions here are unlike most of the city. Access driveways tend to be long and steep, sometimes with a substantial change in level and limited room to manoeuvre a truck, so pumping and staged pours are commonly the practical method.
